Kansky defeats Trimble to Win "E" Flight at National Tennis Center Invitational

QUEENS, N.Y. - Freshman Christine Kansky outlasted teammate Laura Trimble 5-7, 6-4 and 10-6 to win the Evonne (E) flight at the National Tennis Center Women's Intercollegiate Invitational on Monday.
In doubles competition, Kansky and partner Natalie Arcario, another freshman, reached the championship match of the No. 2 flight doubles before falling to the team of Anundsen and Long from North Carolina, 8-3. Arcario and Kansky had defeated several seeded teams in the bracket on the way to
The tournament featured five singles flights named after famous tennis stars that made their mark at the National Tennis Center. Princeton also had players competing in the the "Billie Jean" (B) flight and the "Chrissie" flight in the tournament.
