Seton Hall scored two first-half goals and then answered a Princeton goal within two minutes as the 25th-ranked Pirates defeated the Tigers 3-1 Tuesday afternoon.
The Hall improved to 8-4-1, while Princeton slipped to 5-3-3.
Seton Hall led 2-0 at halftime, the second goal coming on a rebound after Princeton goalkeeper Erik White made save on a penalty kick, and that lead stood up for the first 40 minutes of the second half.
Sean Paylor then scored on a free kick in the 85th minute to cut the lead in half, but SHU was able to build it to a two-goal lead two minutes later.
The Tigers are 1-0-1 in the Ivy League heading into Saturday's game at Columbia.
