Clarksville, Tenn. - The Princeton women's golf team took first place at the F&M Bank Austin Peay Intercollegiate after rain cancelled the second round of play Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore Sharla Cloutier shot a 75 on Monday and is tied for first overall.
The Princeton foursome shot a collective 315 to lead the field through the first round. Murray State sits second at 319, followed by Wichita State (323), Belmont (325) and Troy (329) in the 16-team field.
Cloutier was one of three golfers to shoot a 75 on Day 1 as she is tied with Wichita State's Melissa Reeves and Murray State's Mikki Orazine. Senior Avery Kiser finished in fourth, one stroke behind asfter an opening round of 76. Freshman Annika Welander makes it three Princetonians in the top-10 as she tied for sixth after shotting an 80.
Senior Taryn Haladay shot an 84 for the day and tied for 32nd, while sophomore Alexis Etow shot an 87 and tied for 52nd.
