State College, Pa. - The Princeton women's golf team shot a three-round 915 (302-304-309) to place third at the Nittany Lion Women's Fall Invitational, which concluded Sunday at the Penn State Blue Course.
UC-Irvine won the invitational with the second best 54-hole score in the event's history, a 296-298-303-897. UC-Irvine's Selanee' Henderson won the individual medal with a 75-72-73-220. The College of Charleston finished second (309-295-298-902), while Penn State (289-314-313-916) and Rollins (311-302-313-926) rounded out the top five.
Princeton senior Avery Kiser led the Princeton team with a 227 for the three-round tournament, which placed her in ninth overall.
Princeton freshman Annika Welander shot rounds of 76, 78 and 77 to finish with a 231 in a tie for 12th. Meg Nakamura shot a low round of 74 en route to a 232 and a tied for 19th. Sharla Cloutier gained ground on the final day with a 76 to place tied for 24th and Annika Windon was 68th.
