Princeton, N.J. - Darren Spicer added his name to both the 2004 NSCAA/adidas Men's College Scholar All-America second team and the NSCAA/adidas All-Mid-Atlantic first team for his excellence in both the classroom and on the soccer field. The teams were announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Spicer, a junior majoring in politics, earned the Ivy League Player of the Year after starting all 17 games this past season. He led the Ivy League in both points (25) and goals (12) en route to his honor.
In the 4-1 win over Wofford, Spicer netted three of the goals and ranked second in the league with three game-winning goals, including the 1-0 shutout over Columbia on Oct. 16th.
These accolades mark Spicer's first All-Region and Scholar All-America selections.
