Women's Tennis Defeats Seton Hall, 6-1

The Princeton women's tennis team swept the doubles matches and won five of six singles matches on the way to a 6-1 victory over Seton Hall indoors at Jadwin tennis courts Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers improve to 1-1 on the season after yesterday's season-opening loss to Virginia.
Four of Princeton's five singles victories came in straight sets. No. 1 Darcy Robertson defeated Kimberly Barfuss of Seton Hall, 6-4 and 7-6 (7-3), while No. 2 Jessica Siebel beat the Pirates' Emilie Figueroa, 6-3 and 6-4. No. 4 Laura Trimble and No. 6 Rankin Williams each lost only one game on the way to easy victories at those positions.
The Tigers lost only nine games on the way to three victories in the doubles matches. Princeton's No. 2 team of Alex Kobishyn and Siebel won an 8-1 decision, while Princeton's No. 1 and No. 3 teams won by 8-4 scores.
Princeton returns to action on Sat., Feb. 21, facing Marshall University in State College, Pa., at 1 p.m.
