Erin Snyder struck out eight and allowed just two hits in seven innings of a 2-0 loss to No. 3 California in the consolation game of the Leadoff Classic's Silver Championships.

Snyder, Kristin Lueke and Betsy Allaway got hits off California's Kristina Thorson but the Tigers left all three on base. California scored both runs in the first inning off a double by Jessica Pamanian.

Princeton finished the Leadoff Classic with a 2-3 record, defeating No. 16 Fresno State and No. 18 Arizona State.
