In the top of third, Wendy Bingham hit an infield single, advanced to second on a Kristin Lueke sacrifice bunt and moved to third when Stephanie Steel singled through the right side. After Melissa Finley singled to the pitcher, Snyder hit a rocket past first base first that scored Bingham with the out at first. With two outs and runners on second and third, Del Calvo hit first home run of the season to give Princeton a 4-2 lead. In the bottom of the fifth Lindsey Bashor singled through the right, Baker singled to center field and both advanced on Princeton's second error of the game, which scored Bashor. The Tigers escaped the inning with a 4-3 lead when catcher Ty Ries fumbled and recovered a pitch by Snyder, who covered home and caught Baker stealing for the third out.
Bingham and Finley each had two hits and scored one run apiece for Princeton. Cal State Fullerton had five errors and Brooke Weekley took the loss on the mound with just three strikeouts in seven innings.
