Women's Fencing Team Finishes Seventh At NCAA Championships

Jacqueline Leahy placed fourth out of 24 competitors in women's foil to help the Princeton women's fencing team to a seventh-place finish at the NCAA National Championships at Brandeis.
Leahy entered the final day of bouts with a fourth-place seeding and lost today to the top seed Alicja Kryczalo of Notre Dame and the third seed Hanna Thompson of Ohio State.
Mina Morova finished 11th in saber, Sara Jew Lim placed 17th in foil and Erin McGarry took 14th in epee.
Notre Dame, who led in the team standings after Thursday's rounds, produced two national champions and two other runners-up, but Ohio State gained a one-point margin 97-96 in the team standings today.
The NCAA Championships continue this weekend with men's rounds 1-4 tomorrow, Saturday March 27 and rounds 5-7 on Sunday.
