Women's Tennis Holds Off Temple, 4-3

Princeton won three singles matches in straight sets and took the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles matches to win the doubles point on the way to a 4-3 victory over Temple Saturday afternoon.
Alison Hashmall handled Lara Ercegovic of Temple at No. 2, 6-2 and 6-2, while Rankin Williams was impressive again at No. 6 singles, defeating Jennifer Goata 6-2 and 6-0. Laura Trimble then gutted out a close victory at No. 4 for the Tigers, winning the first set 7-5 and the second set in tiebreak, 8-6.
Princeton's No. 2 and 3 doubles teams lost a combined four games in winning their matches. Mateya McCoy and Darcy Robertson won 8-3 at No. 2, while Stephanie Berg and Trimble won 8-1 at No. 3. Berg lost a close match at No. 3 singles, falling to Ana Maslesa 6-4 in the third set after splitting the first two sets.
