Trenton, N.J. - The Princeton women's golf team shot rounds of 325 and 313 for a Day 1 total of 638 to sit three stroke ahead of Yale after the first two rounds of the Ivy League Championships at the Trenton Country Club. Defending champion Avery Kiser sits atop the individual leaderboard after rounds of 79 and 74 to put her four shots up on the field.
Defending champion Yale sits second, but it's a far way back to third place Harvard, which sits 38 strokes behind Yale.
Perhaps the biggest highlight of the day came when Taryn Haladay aced the par 3 10th hole. Her hole-in-one was the first in the history of the Ivy championship. Haladay is tied for fifth place at 161. Alexis Etow sits seventh at 162. Sharla Cloutier is at 165 and tied for ninth. Meg Nakamura rounds out the Princeton five in a tie for 13th 1t 167.
The Tigers will look to reclaim the Ivy title when the final day of the Championships takes place tomorrow.
