Women's Tennis Falls at Yale, 6-1

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Princeton won the doubles point to take an early lead, but Yale won all six singles matches in straight sets on the way to a 6-1 victory over the Tigers in a women's tennis match played Friday afternoon.
The Tigers easily won at No. 3 doubles, 8-3, thanks to Stephanie Berg and Laura Trimble, and clinched the doubles point with a hard-fought 9-7 win at No. 2 from Mateya McCoy and Darcy Robertson.
Trimble played a close match for Princeton at No. 5 singles, but fell to Rashmee Patil by a 7-5, 6-4 score.
The Tigers travel to Brown for a 12:30 p.m. match Saturday afternoon.
