Seven Princetonians Named to U.S. Developmental Women's Lacrosse Team

Seven current or former Princeton women's lacrosse players, the most of any school in the nation, have been named by USLacrosse to the 2004-05 United States Women's Developmental Team.
Current Tiger players selected to the team were 2004 first-team All-Americas Lindsey Biles and Elizabeth Pillion, 2004 Ivy League Rookie of the Year Kathleen Miller, rising sophomore Caitlin Reimers, a member of the 2003 U.S. Under 19 Team along with Miller, and rising junior Lauren Vance, a third-team All-America pick in 2004.
The last two Ivy League Players of the Year were also chosen for the team--Rachael Becker, the 2003 Tewaaraton Trophy winner, and Theresa Sherry, one of five finalists for that award this past season. The players selected to the team will take part in various U.S. Team activities over the next 12 months and will be eligible to try out for the 2005 World Cup Team. Tryouts for the World Cup, which will be held in the United States next summer, begin in October. A five-member selection committee selected the 24 developmental team players from a field of 98 that were invited to try out.
Richmond's Sue Murphy is the head coach of the U.S. Developmental Team.
