Princeton, N.J. - The 2004-05 Princeton softball campaign is ready to commence, beginning with two fall games at Temple on Sept. 19. The Tigers face the Owls at 10 a.m. and will then play Delaware at 1:30 p.m. Another fall game is scheduled for Oct. 9 at Villanova (time to be determined). Any student interested in walking on to the team should contact head coach Maureen Barron at medavies@princeton.edu or (609)258-4669. Barron enters her fifth season as the Princeton head coach and her first without assistant Jen Sewell, who was recently named the first assistant with the Kansas softball program. Last year, after back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances (2002, 2003), Princeton finished 24-23 overall, 7-7 in the Ivy League and in a three-way tie for fourth place in the league behind Cornell, Brown and Harvard.
