Princeton, N.J. - The Princeton women's golf team leads the field after the first day of the Princeton Invitational, held Saturday afternoon at Springdale Golf Club. Princeton's Black team leads the field with a combined score of 315, while Princeton's Orange team is tied with Yale for second at 320.
Penn and Harvard round out the top five in the 14 school field.
On the individual leaderboard, two Tigers sit alone at the top. Senior Meg Nakamura, playing for the Orange squad, shot a low round of 73, one-over, and is two strokes up on junior Avery Kiser in second. Freshman Annika Windon shot a 78 and is tied with four others in fourth. Three Tigers, sophomores Sharla Cloutier, Caitlin Sullivan and freshman Annike Welander are all tied for 11th with an opening round 80, eight strokes off of Nakamura in the lead.
The tournament resumes with the second and final round tomorrow morning.
