The Princeton women's soccer team has jumped to 11th in this week's NSCAA Division I poll, released Tuesday afternoon. Princeton had been ranked 17th last week before two big shutout wins, 3-0 over then-No. 23 Yale and 4-0 over Hartford.
Princeton is also ranked third in this week's Mid-Atlantic Region poll, behind Virginia and Penn State.
Princeton hosts Dartmouth Saturday (1) in its first home game in 30 days. The Tigers, who have played six straight road games, lost the Ivy League title to Dartmouth a year ago when the Big Green defeated Princeton 3-2 in Hanover.
Esmeralda Negron leads the Ivy League in goals, goals per game, points and points per game. She currently has five for the season and 32 for her career, leaving her in second place all-time at Princeton, nine away from Linda DeBoer's 20-year-old school record.
Princeton is tied with UC-Riverside for the fewest goals allowed this season in Division I (two), though UC-Riverside has played one additional game.
