State College, Pa. - Sharla Cloutier shot a final-round 71, the second lowest round of the tournament, to climb to fourth in the final rundown after the second and final day of the Penn State Women's Golf Nittany Lion Invitational. Princeton placed third in the 16-team field, seven strokes behind first-place UC Irvine and six behind Penn State.
UC Irvine's two-round 600 won the event, and was a shot better than Penn State's 601. Princeton shot a 607. Maryland and Rollins completed the top five. Ivy League rival Yale placed eighth.
Cloutier shot a 77 in the first round and a 71 in the second to finish with a two-round 148. The score was four strokes off of first-place Maggie Lester of Penn State, who finished at even par. Susannah Aboff made it two Tigers in the top 10 with her seventh-place finish. She shot rounds of 73 and 76 for a total of 149.
Marlowe Boukis and Annika Welander both shot 76 in the first round and 79 in the second to finish with 154s, which tied for 22nd. Caitlin Sullivan used rounds of 78 and 81 to finish tied for 34th with a 159.
Princeton completes the fall season in two weekends at the Pat Bradley Championships in Miami.
