Roth, Trimble Compete in Consolation Semifinals at Big Green Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. - Princeton's Joanna Roth took Harvard's Cindy Chu to a third set Monday in the semifinals of the consolation draw at the Big Green Invitational before falling 10-7 in the deciding proset.
Roth trailed 0-4 in the first set, but nearly came back all the way before falling 6-4. She then trailed 0-3 in the second set before coming back to win in a tiebreak, 7-2, to extend the match to a third set.
Teammate Laura Trimble also reached the semifinals, but fell to Angela DiPastina of Ohio State 6-2 and 6-4 on Monday.
