12 Army rushers combined for 345 yards and the Black Knight defense held Princeton to 60 total yards in a 45-0 Army victory over the Tigers in a Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) game played in the rain at Frelinghuysen Field Friday night.
Thomas Russell, Jame Antonides and Patrick Hall each rushed for 60 yards or more as the Black Knights (2-2, 1-1 CSFL) outgained Princeton (0-3, 0-1 CSFL) 445-60. Antonides scored two second-quarter touchdowns, runs from 15 yards and one yard, to help Army to a 31-0 halftime lead.
Princeton went almost exclusively to the air in the second half, with quarterbacks Alex Kandabarow and Wylie Galvin combining for eight completions on 29 attempts for the game. Both Lon Johnson (34 yards) and Frank Langston (13 yards) had three catches.
Besides Antonides' two touchdowns, Army also scored on a 20-yard Braden Amigo-to-Christi Cortez pass late in the first quarter and a Hall three-yard run early in the second quarter. Derek Brown caught a 10-yard strike from Rob Miner in the fourth quarter, and Hall also scored on defense for Army later in the quarter when he returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown.
Princeton plays at Cornell next Friday.
