Men's Water Polo Falls to St. Francis in Eastern Semifinals

Cambridge, Mass. - The 15th-ranked Princeton men's water polo team fell to No. 12 St. Francis in the semifinals of the 2005 CWPA Eastern Championship on Saturday night at Blodgett Pool at Harvard. Reid Joseph scored twice in the loss for Princeton. The Tigers will conclude their season tomorrow at 12 noon against No. 17 Buckell in the Eastern third-place game.
Joseph was one of eight scorers in the game for Princeton, which is now 20-10 on the season. Each of the other eight scorers added a single goal. Gant Morgner made nine saves in the cage for Princeton.

In the day's first game Princeton advanced to the semifinals with a 9-5 win over Harvard, the tournament's host. Zach Beckmann led the charge with three goals while Dean Riskas and John Stover both added a pair of goals. Gant Morgner made seven saves in the win.
On Friday night the CWPA handed out its conference awards and Stover took home All-Southern honors for the third time in his career. Stover was named to the league's first team, while Nicholas Seaver earned second-team honors.
