Women's Tennis Improves to 2-0, Defeats Temple 4-3

The Princeton women's tennis team lost just nine games overall in three singles victories and won the doubles point handily in a 4-3 victory over Temple at the Jadwin Gym tennis courts Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers, who improve to 2-0, won three singles matches handily after clinching the doubles point to clinch the match early. Alison Hashmall lost just two games in a straight-set victory at No. 3 over Laura Seiverling, while Laura Trimble at No. 4 won the first set 6-4 but then finished off Sharanya Pattabi 6-0 in the second set. Joanna Roth's 6-2, 6-1 win over Jackie Sy at No. 6 was the Tigers' third singles win. Princeton swept all three doubles matches. The most impressive win came at No. 2, where Darcy Robertson and Roth lost just one game in a win over Sy and Seiverling of Temple.
Robertson lost a tough match at No. 2 singles fo Princeton, splitting sets with Kurashima but falling in a 10-point tiebreak to decide the match.
