Irvine, Calif. - The Princeton women's golf team climbed two spots in the final rundown to finish sixth overall at the Anteater Women's Golf Invitational at the Coto de Caza Golf Club on Wednesday. Avery Kiser was Princeton's top overall finisher in 19th. She shot the Tigers' lowest round on Wednesday with an even-par 72.
The hosts from UC-Irvine won the tournament with a three-round 905. Boise State was second, with Colorado State, Colorado and Long Beach State rounding out the top five. Princeton rallied past Southwest Missouri State and Grand Valley in the final round to finish sixth in the 10-team field. Princeton shot the day's fourth-best round, a 309, in the third round for a three-round total of 953. Kiser led all Tigers in 19th with a three-round 236 (79-85-72). Sharla Cloutier was two strokes back in 26th (81-79-78-238). Annika Welander and Taryn Haladay tied for 27th with 239. Welander shot rounds of 81, 80 and 78, while Haladay went 80, 81 and 78.
