PHILADELPHIA - Princeton was again strong in the distance events and the field events in a tri-meet with Penn and Yale held at Franklin Field Saturday afternoon. The Quakers won the meet with 84 points, while Yale had 72 and Princeton finished with 47.
Multi-event athlete Amy Krilla had a strong day for the Tigers, finishing right behind teammate Brooke Minor in the high jump and then winning the javelin throw with a toss of 143 feet, one inch.
Minor's leap of 1.65 meters (five feet, five inches) won the high jump.
Catha Mullen had another strong performance in the 3,000 meters, winning that race in 9:36.59, nearly 13 seconds better than the second-place finisher.
Cack Ferrell finished in a close second in a showdown in the 1,500 meters with Yale's Lindsay Donaldson, finishing in 4:29.66 to Donaldson's 4:29.24.
