PRINCETON, N.J. -- Junior Erin Snyder was deemed the Ivy League's Pitcher of the Week for the week ending on April 17. This is the third-consecutive honor and fifth of the season for Snyder.
Snyder notched her second perfect game in the last three weeks and struck out 37 of the 54 batters she faced in Ivy competition last week. In game one vs. Dartmouth, she led the Tigers to a 5-0 win, while tallying 16 strikeouts in becoming the second Tiger to record two perfect games in her career and the first in the same season.
In a 1-0 10-inning loss to Harvard on Saturday, Snyder fanned, a season-high, 21 batters and allowed three hits in 10 innings. Snyder was also impressive from the plate in the sweep of Dartmouth. She went 3-for-6 on the day and collected four RBI, including the game-tying RBI in the 4-3 come from behind win.
On the season Snyder has posted a .72 era, holding batters to a stingy .165 batting average. Her 515 career strikeouts ranks second in program's history behind head coach Maureen Barron (596).
The Tigers head to East Orange, today, for a midweek doubleheader against Seton Hall at 3:30.
