Women's Tennis Defeats Brown 7-0, Improves to 2-0 in Ivy League

The Princeton women's tennis team had to play four tight three-set singles matches, but the Tigers won all four on the way to a 7-0 victory over Brown in an Ivy League match played at the Lenz Tennis Center Friday afternoon.
Princeton (8-6), which improved to 2-0 in Ivy League play, trailed in two of those three-set matches before coming back to win. Christine Kansky lost the first set to Daisy Ames at No. 3 before winning her match in a third-set tiebreak, while Alison Hashmall lost the first set at No. 4 to Anita Ivancevic before dominating the final two sets.
The Tigers also got three-set wins from Joanna Roth at No. 5 and No. 1 Jessica Siebel, who trailed Amanda Saiontz 5-4 in the final set before breaking Saiontz and going on to a 7-5 third-set victory.
Darcy Robertson, at No. 2, and Ivana King, at No. 6, each won in straight sets for Princeton. King lost just two games in her victory over Kelley Kirkpatrick.
Princeton dominated at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles to take the doubles point early.
The Tigers host Yale at the Lenz Tennis Center Saturday afternoon.
