Women's Tennis Drops 5-2 Decision to Yale

Yale won three straight-set singles matches at the top of the lineup and earned the doubles point with a tight win at No. 3 on the way to a 5-2 win over Princeton in a women's tennis matched played the Lenz Tennis Center Saturday afternoon.
Reshmi Srinath (1), Rashmee Patil (2) and Aimee Kim (3) all won in straight sets for Yale. Jessica Siebel took Srinath to the wire at No. 1 in the second set before falling 7-5 in that set.
The teams split the first two doubles matches, with Princeton's Darcy Robertson and Joanna Roth dominating at No. 2, but Srinath and Patil outlasted Princeton's Stephanie Berg and Laura Trimble and won in a tiebreak to clinch the doubles point.
Princeton won two singles matches in straight sets. Alison Hashmall defeated Christine Alford 6-3 and 6-4 at No. 4, while Ivana King lost just three games in a win over Lindsey Dashiell at No. 6.
The Tigers (8-7, 2-1 Ivy) play at Dartmouth and Harvard next weekend.
