Tigers Fall to Old Dominion in Women's Tennis, 5-2

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Princeton got wins from Ivana King at No. 2 and Kelly Stewart at No. 6 but fell to Old Dominion by a 5-2 score in a neutral-site match played at the Boar's Head Indoor Tennis Club today.
Darcy Robertson and Joanna Roth won easily at No. 2 doubles for the Tigers, but the Monarchs clinched the doubles point when Barbara Kerner and Barbara Costa outlasted Christine Kansky and Rankin Williams 9-8 at No. 3. ODU then won in straight sets at Nos. 3, 4 and 5 to clinch the match.
Stewart defeated Linda Garder 6-2 and 6-4 at No. 6 to earn her first career dual-match victory for Princeton. King improved to 2-0 on the spring season, winning at No. 2 over Costa in three sets, 7-5 in the third.
After not losing a game at No. 2 doubles with Roth, Robertson split sets at No. 1 singles against Kerstin Endlich, but Endlich won a proset 10-5 to take that match.
The Tigers (0-2) play at home on Saturday, hosting Rutgers at Jadwin Gym at 1 p.m.
