October 13, 2006 | Sprint Football
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell's Jason Remillard ran back an interception for a touchdown with 2:56 remaining in the opening quarter to give the Big Red a lead it would never relinquish in a 35-0 win against the Princeton sprint football team on Friday night at Schoellkopf Field.
Three of Cornell's five touchdowns came either from its defense or special teams. In addition to Remillard's 10-yeard interception return, Ian Murray had a 44-yard interception return. Michael Fullowan had an 89-yeard kickoff return.
Cornell was 13 of 21 from the field for 161 yards and added 126 rushing yards. Princeton was 11 of 47 for 157 yards but lost 37 yards rushing and turned the ball over seven times.
Alex Kandabarow threw for 145 yards in the air on 10 completions. Lon Johnson caught four passes for 56 yards, including a long of 21.
Princeton hosts Navy a week from tonight at Princeton Stadium.
