December 07, 2006 | Softball
PRINCETON, N.J. -- Maureen Barron and the Princeton softball staff have announced the program's February hitting clinic, to take place Sunday, Feb. 11, at Jadwin Gym.
Barron, who has guided the Tigers to four NCAA tournament appearances in the last five seasons and had a highly successful pitching career at Princeton, will instruct youngsters along with her coaching staff and players on power mechanics, locational hitting and introduce new drills to promote swing awareness and fix common hitting faults.
The entire clinic will take place between 1 and 5:30 p.m. in Jadwin's E-level indoor baseball/softball area. Start times will be staggered based on the campers' ages. Those 15-17 will begin at 1 p.m., while the 13-14 year olds will begin at 2 and the 11-12 year olds at 3. The cost of the clinic is $60 per student with space for 40 campers.
