Tigers Fall to No. 67 Fresno State in Men's Tennis, 5-2

FRESNO, Calif. - Facing the second nationally-ranked team in its first three matches this spring, the Princeton men's tennis team fell to No. 67 Fresno State by a 5-2 score Friday afternoon in California.
The Bulldogs, who improved to 4-0, won the doubles point but were pushed hard by the Tigers (0-3) in singles. Sophomore Jonathan Leslie won in straight sets at No. 4 for Princeton, as did freshman Alex Vuckovic at No. 6. At No. 2, Andrew Lieu split sets with Sergui Modoc, but Modoc won the third set 6-1 to clinch the match.
At No. 5, senior Shannon Morales had a match point in the second set against Jordi Ballester, but Ballester staved it off, won the second set 7-5 and then took a 10-8 proset to win the match.
Princeton concludes its California trip on Saturday, facing Santa Clara at 5:30 p.m. Eastern time.
