Women's Tennis Dominates UNC Greensboro, 7-0

DURHAM, N.C. - Princeton won eight of nine matches on the day, including five straight-set wins in singles, on the way to a dominating 7-0 victory over UNC Greensboro in a match played at the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center on the Duke campus Tuesday afternoon.
The Tigers lost just two games in wins at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles to earn the doubles point, then clinched the match when Darcy Robertson defeat Lisa Suggs at No. 1 singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-3.
Robertson's win wasn't Princeton's only dominant performance of the day. In singles, Kelly Stewart lost just one game at No. 6 in win over Sophie Rychlik, while Laura Trimble lost just two games in a win over Lourdes Moran at No. 5.
In doubles, Robertson and Joanna Roth earned an 8-0 win at No. 2 to help Princeton earn the point.
The Tigers also got a straight-set singles win from Ivana King at No. 3 and a win at No. 4 from Christine Kansky, who led Erica Zabkar 5-2 in the first set when Zabkar retired.
Princeton, now 5-5 on the spring, stays in Durham Wednesday to face 10th-ranked Duke at 4 p.m.
