The Princeton women's lacrosse team's trip to Baltimore this past weekend didn't result in the ending the Tigers were hoping for. The Tigers hope a return trip, only about a mile up the road, ends up differently.
The Tigers, now ranked No. 6, visit No. 12 Loyola Wednesday afternoon. Game time is 4 p.m. at Loyola's Diane Geppi-Aikens Field, and the game can be heard live on GoPrincetonTigers.com.
Princeton has defeated Loyola three consecutive times, including a win in Baltimore in 2004. The Tigers dropped an 8-7 decision Saturday to Johns Hopkins in their season opener.
Head coach Chris Sailer started four freshmen against the Blue Jays, and two more came off the bench. Five of Princeton's seven goals were scored by freshmen, with two apiece coming from Christine Casaceli and Kristin Schwab.
Princeton's first six opponents this season are all currently ranked in the top 12 in the latest IWLCA poll released Monday.
Today's Note of the Day
