Tigers Get Shutout Win over Rutgers, 7-0

The Princeton men's tennis team stepped out of conference to defeat Rutgers by a 7-0 score Sunday afternoon at the Lenz Tennis Center. Princeton won eight of the nine matches played on the day.
The Tigers (5-9) clinched the doubles point when Ted Mabrey and Andrew Lieu won by an 8-6 score at No. 1. Princeton then dominated in singles, winning five matches in straight sets and another at No. 5 from Andrew Husby, who won the first set 6-0 before his opponent retired.
Princeton No. 1 Sratha Saengsuwarn was impressive in a win over Tyler Deming, winning 6-2 and 6-1. At No. 3, Alex Krueger-Wyman won the first set in a tiebreak over Jonathan Wanono but then won the second set 6-0 to win the match.
The Tigers host Ivy League matches against Brown and Yale this Friday and Saturday.
