Brown Wins Close One in Men's Tennis over Princeton, 5-2

The 70th-ranked Brown men's tennis team came from behind in two doubles matches and won four sets in singles by scores of 7-5 or 7-6 on the way to a 5-2 victory over Princeton in a men's tennis match played inside at Jadwin Gym Friday.
Princeton's singles wins came at No. 2 from Darius Craton and No. 4 from Hans Plukas. Craton defeated Basu Ratnam by scores of 7-5 and 6-2, while Plukas split sets with Phil Charm before winning a 10-8 proset after the overall match was clinched.
At No. 1 singles, Sratha Saenguswarn led early for Princeton but fell to No. 63-ranked Dan Hanegby by eventual scores of 7-5 and 6-3. At No. 3, Andrew Lieu and Eric Thomas played a tight match throughout that Thomas won by scores of 7-5 and 7-5.
Princeton (5-10, 0-2 Ivy) led by a 4-1 score at both Nos. 1 and 3 doubles, but the Bears (11-7, 1-0 Ivy) came back to win both matches and clinch the point.
The Tigers host Yale Saturday afternoon beginning at noon. The match is scheduled for the Lenz Tennis Center but will likely be played indoors due to expected weather conditions.
