A season ago, the Princeton women's lacrosse team rebounded from a difficult loss to Dartmouth with a convincing win over Delaware. The Tigers hope to repeat that feat Tuesday afternoon when the Blue Hens visit Class of 1952 Stadium for a 4:30 p.m. game.
The Tigers (8-5) have defeated Delaware (5-11) 16 years in a row, including last year's 16-3 win in Newark. Princeton led 6-1 at halftime and scored the final seven goals in that one.
Princeton has responded well after defeats so far this season, winning three of the four games they've played after a loss. The Tigers dropped a 15-5 decision to Dartmouth Saturday but can still clinch the Ivy League's automatic NCAA berth with a win at Brown Saturday.
Delaware is playing its season finale Tuesday afternoon. The Blue Hens fell to 5-11 on the season with a loss to No. 8 Johns Hopkins last Wednesday.
