PRINCETON, N.J.- The Princeton men's golf team finished second to Columbia by two shots as the 36-hole Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club wrapped up Sunday. Chris Condello led the Lions, winning the tournament at 2-under while Drexel's Patrick Hardin was second at 1-over and Andrew Maliniak was Princeton's top finisher at 2-over.
The Lions finished at +26 as a team while Princeton was at +28 on the par-71 course. Individually for the Tigers, Jason Gerken and Jesse Dixon finished in a four-way tie for fourth at +4. John Locke was at +9, tying for 18th, while Max Schechter tied for 41st at +13. Both Locke and Schechter competed individually. John Sawin and Brent Herlihy were among six players at +17, tying for 63rd.
The Tigers have next weekend away from competition before competing in the Ivy League Championship at Ballyowen Golf Course in Vernon, N.J., April 22-23.
