Princeton Men's Golf Finishes Day Two at NCAA Central Regional

CHARDON, Ohio - The Princeton men's golf team wrapped up the second of three days at the NCAA Central Regional in Chardon, Ohio, Friday, standing in 27th place. John Sawin remained Princeton's top individual at 12-over for the tournament.
The Tigers are at +67 for the weekend. The top 10 teams on the leaderboard qualify for the NCAA Championships in Oregon and three teams are tied at the cutoff point at 22-over. Oklahoma State widened its lead over the field at -3 with Northwestern in second place nine shots back. Zack Robinson of OSU is the top individual at -5.
Sawin birdied three of the last five holes to finish at +6 for the day, shooting 77 each of the first two rounds. Jason Gerken is 16-over for the weekend after bettering Thursday's score by six shots, firing a 76. Andrew Maliniak shot a 79 Friday to stand at +18 while Jesse Dixon also shot a 79 in round two to stand at +21. Rounding out Princeton's group was Brent Herlihy at +38 for the weekend.
The regional concludes Saturday.
