No. 1 Men's Heavyweights Tops Navy To Complete Perfect Regular Season

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Princeton men's heavyweight crew will complete the 2006 regular season ranked the exact same it was to start the season. The top-ranked Tigers finished its campaign with a comfortable win on the Severn River against Navy, and will head into next weekend's Eastern Sprints as the favorite to bring back the title.
Princeton claimed wins in the first varsity, second varsity and freshman races. The first varsity earned the undefeated season by finishing in 5:37.9, while Navy took second in 5:41.7. Princeton won by more than two seconds in the second varsity competition and by more than eight in the freshman race.
Princeton finished its 2006 season with a 9-0 record and will travel to Worcester, Mass. on Sunday, May 21, to compete for the Eastern Sprints title.
