Women's Golf Leads Halfway Through Princeton Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Annika Welander and the Tigers are atop the leaderboard halfway through the women's Princeton Invitational, a 36-hole event that concludes with one round Sunday.
Welander fired a 3-under 69 Saturday to stand three shots ahead of Lehigh's Yvonne Kukora and Brittany Lambertson of St. John's.
As a team, Princeton stands 2-over, 12 shots ahead of Harvard at the 13-team event. Marlowe Boukis and Susannah Aboff, both of whom fired a 73 Saturday, are four shots off the lead and tied for fourth. Rookie Michelle Grilli shot a 75 to stand in ninth place at +3, while Sharla Cloutier turned in a 78 at +6 to tie for 13th.
Playing individually, Annika Windon was 5-over with a 77, Caitlin Sullivan was 7-over with a 79 and Alexis Etow was 10-over with an 82.
