Capkovic Reaches Final of "A" Singles Draw at Farnsworth Invitational

Princeton sophomore Peter Capkovic, the No. 2 seed, will play No. 1 seed Jason Pinsky of Penn in Sunday's final of the 2006 Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational after winning two matches on Saturday at the Lenz Tennis Center.
First, Capkovic won a tough match against teammate and classmate Alex Vuckovic in the quarters, winning 6-4 and 6-4. In the semis later in the day, he defeated Virginia's Lee Singer by scores of 6-3 and 6-4.
Pinsky has also yet to lose a set in three matches heading into the final, including a 6-3, 6-1 win over Princeton's Sratha Saengsuwarn in the quarterfinals Saturday morning.
Freshman George Carpeni was the fourth Princeton player to make the quarterfinals of the "A" bracket, where he fell in a tough three-set match to Columbia's Marty Moore 5-7, 6-4, and 3-6.
In doubles, the Princeton team of Mark Gober and Ilya Trubov have reached the semifinals of the "B" bracket. where they will play a team from Cornell on Sunday.
Sophomore Jeff Luse fell in the quarterfinals of the "B" singles, losing to Virginia's Leif Sunderland 6-3 and 6-4.
