Capkovic Falls In Farnsworth Final to Penn's Pinsky

In a matchup of the top two seeds, Penn's Jason Pinsky defeated Princeton's Peter Capkovic by scores of 6-2 and 7-5 to win the "A" Singles bracket of the 2006 Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational Sunday at the Lenz Tennis Center.
Pinsky, ranked 55th nationally, and Capkovic, ranked No. 102 in the preseason, both had first-round byes and then won three matches to advance to Sunday's final. Capkovic was making his first collegiate appearance and was playing in his first competitive tournament since 2004.
The "B" singles bracket saw Columbia's Justin Chow, the No. 5 seed, defeated unseeded Phil Bayliss from Saint Joseph's 6-3 and 6-4 in Sunday's final. Bayliss had advanced to the final by winning three of his four previous matches in straight sets.
Form held in the "A" doubles bracket, where top seeds Dan Brous and Josh Raff took the title with an 8-5 victory over Yale's Josh Lederman and Jeff Dawson. Dawson's brother, Connor, joined with Virginia's Leif Sunderland to win the "B" doubles bracket, defeating Cornell's Rory Heggie and Peter Kung.
