Tigers Head to National Tennis Center For ECAC Invitational
September 28, 2006 | Men's Tennis
Princeton is the No. 7 seed in the 2006 ECAC Division I Men's Tennis Invitational and will play No. 10 seed Boston College in the first round on Fri., Sept. 29, at approximately 2 p.m. at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
The winner of the Princeton-Boston College match will play the winner of a match between No. 2 seed Penn and No. 15 seed Stony Brook in a quarterfinal match on Saturday.
The annual invitational is a three-day, 16-school dual-match tournament with both championship and consolation brackets. Last year's Ivy League co-champions, Brown and Penn, are the top two seeds in the event, played on the outer courts of the tennis center.
The Tigers began their fall season with last week's Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational at the Lenz Tennis Center. Four Princeton players advanced to the quarterfinals of the "A" singles bracket, with sophomore Peter Capkovic reaching the final before falling to Penn's Jason Pinsky.
The complete tournament bracket is available at the above link. Results will be available each day both at GoPrincetonTigers.com and at ecac.org.
