NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Freshman Mike Kramer scored two goals and junior Lee Jubinville had a goal and an assist as the Princeton men's hockey team defeated the Ontario Institute of Technology 5-0 in their second game of the Shootout at Ingalls on Saturday afternoon.
Following a scoreless opening period, the Tigers pulled ahead with three goals in the first 10 minutes of the second period. Sophomore Dan Bartlett started the scoring at 1:23 on a goal that was assisted by senior Keith Shattenkirk. Jubinville made it 2-0 at 3:08 with a goal from sophomore Cam MacIntyre, and junior Brett Wilson made it 3-0 when he scored from Jubinville on the power play at 9:24.
Princeton made the final score 5-0 with two third period goals from Kramer. He got his first of the game at 4:03 from sophomore Mark Magnowski, the scored from freshman Matt Arhontas and sophomore Jody Pederson at 14:21.
Junior Thomas Sychterz started the game and made 13 saves for the win, while freshman Alan Reynolds played the final half of the game and made eight saves.
Princeton opens up its league schedule next Friday night at Cornell.
