Steve Zalewski scored four goals as eighth-ranked Clarkson defeated 18th-ranked
Clarkson jumped on the Tigers early, scoring three times in the first period as Shea Guthrie opened the scoring at 3:01. Zalewski scored twice in the period, once on the power play and once on even strength to give Clarkson a 3-0 lead after a period.
Zalewski opened the second period with a pair of goal to put his team up 5-0 before
David Leggio made 33 saves for Clarkson, while junior Thomas Sychterz made nine saves in the first period and took the loss. Freshman Alan Reynolds made 16 saves in the final two periods.
