Men's Water Polo Opens Southerns With Win

The Princeton men's water polo started the Southern Championships on the right foot Friday night with a 9-6 win over Gannon. Senior Zach Beckmann scored three goals in the win.
Princeton led 2-1 after a quarter and broke the game open with a five-goal second quarter to lead 7-1 at the half. Gannon closed the gap over the second half, but the Tiger won with a comfortable three-goal margin. In addition to Beckmann's three goals, six other Tigers added single goals and senior Scott Syverson made 10 saves for the win.
Princeton faces Mercyhurst and Navy tomorrow in Southerns play.
