This Week's Opponents
The Series with Rensselaer
Princeton hosts Rensselaer on Friday night in the 94th meeting between the two schools. RPI leads the all-time series 59-9-25 and leads 21-13-4 in games played at Princeton. The teams split last season with the Engineers winning 4-3 in overtime at home, and Princeton winning 6-2 at home. Princeton is 3-2-1 against Rensselaer over the past three seasons.
Scouting the Engineers
Rensselaer is 6-4-3 overall and 1-1-2 in league play entering the weekend. RPI has been ranked in the second half of the national top 20 for the past several weeks, but has won just once in its last six outings, a 7-4 win at Dartmouth two weekends ago. RPI hosted its annual tournament last weekend and tied American International and fell to Notre Dame.
Last Season vs. Rensselaer
Princeton and Rensselaer split last year's games with each team winning on home ice. RPI won 4-3 at home in overtime despite being outshot by the Tigers 39-13. Brandan Kushniruk had two assists in that game. Princeton avenged the loss later in the season with a 6-2 win at Baker Rink. Lee Jubinville had a goal and two assists in the win.
The Series with Union
Princeton and Union meet for the 38th time on Saturday night in a series that Princeton leads 18-15-4. Princeton is 12-6-1 in the series at home. Last season, each team won its home ice in overtime by identical 4-3 scores.

Union is 2-5-2 overall and 0-2-2 in league play entering the weekend. The Dutchmen opened the season with two wins over Ferris State, but are winless in the seven games since. Union last played on Sunday, when it fell to Massachusetts 5-2.

Off-Ice Honor
Senior Landis Stankievech was announced as a Rhodes Scholar this week. The senior from Trochu, Alberta was one of three Princetonians to win a Rhodes Scholarship and he will study at Oxford next year. Twenty Princeton athletes have won Rhodes Scholarships, including Mike Spence, a hockey player and recent Nobel Prize for Economics winner, and Bill Bradley, a basketball player and politician.
Rookie of the Week
Cam Ritchie became Princeton's first league Rookie of the Week recipient as he scored his first two collegiate goals in Saturday's 4-2 win at Quinnipiac. His first goal gave Princeton a 2-1 lead early in the third period and his second goal sealed the Tiger win in the final minute.
First Two in the Same Game
Cam Ritchie became the first Princeton player to record his first and second career goals in the same game since Brandan Kushniruk did it in the 2005-06 season. Kushniruk did it nearly two years ahead of Ritchie, in a 6-3 win at Quinnipiac.
Cam Ritchie's two goals in Saturday's win marked the first time a Princeton defenseman has scored two goals in a game since Steve Shirreffs did it on Feb. 27, 1998 in a 4-4 tie with Vermont.
More From Moore
Mike Moore currently leads all Tiger defensemen with six assists this season. That number also leads all league defenseman in conference scoring and ranks secodn in overall scoring.
More Firsts
In addition to Cam Ritchie, two other freshman recorded their first goals against Quinnipiac. Mike Kramer scored his in Wednesday's loss, while Matt Godlewski picked his up in Saturday's win.
Kaiser Roll
Kevin Kaiser returned to the lineup on Saturday after missing two games with an injury. The result was his first career multiple-point game as he assisted on Princeton's first and second goals in the win.
Not Since His First Game

First Win in First Start
Alan Reynolds made his first collegiate start on Saturday at Quinnipiac and made 16 saves to record his first collegiate win.
Team Notes

5 on 3
Princeton's game-winning goal on Saturday at Quinnipiac came with a two-man advantage. It was Princeton's first 5 on 3 goal of the season and it came in the third opportunity. Princeton is 1-3 with a two-man advantage and has killed off the only two-man disadvantage is has faced.
Contributions By the D-Men
Five of Princeton's 10 points recorded during Saturday's win came from defensemen. In addition to Ritchie scoring, Matt Godlewski recorded his first collegiate goal in the win, while classmate Taylor Fedun and senior Mike Moore added assists.
It's Not Only Offensive
The Princeton defense limited Quinnipiac to just one shot on goal in the second period of Saturday's loss and held the Bobcats to eight shots over the final two periods.
