Robertson's Three-Set Win Gives Tigers 4-3 Victory over Penn State

The Princeton women's tennis team earned a thrilling 4-3 win over Penn State Sunday at Jadwin Gym when senior Darcy Robertson won a third-set tiebreak at No. 3 singles in the final match of the day.
Robertson and Penn State's Lauren Holzberg split sets, with Holzberg winning a second-set tiebreak to extend the match. With the team match tied 3-3, Robertson won the third-set tiebreak by a 7-5 score to clinch the match for the Tigers (2-2).
Penn State had tied the match at 3-3 when Jenny Shular won a third-set tiebreak to win the No. 4 singles match against Princeton's Blakely Ashley.
The Tigers took the doubles point with wins at both Nos. 1 and 2. Robertson and freshman Sarah Huah clinched the point for Princeton with an 8-2 win at No. 2 over Sarah Lotto and Andreea Niculescu.
Princeton then took a 3-1 lead early in singles play when Ivana King lost just two games in a win over Sasha Abraham at No. 2 and Melissa Saiontz defeated Niculescu by scores of 6-2 and 7-5 in the No. 1 match.
The Tigers play at Wisconsin next weekend.
