PRINCETON, N.J. – With just two days off following the season-opening Pinehurst Challenge in North Carolina, the Princeton women's golf team will hit the links again Friday in Bryan, Texas, at the Texas A&M Invitational.
Monday and Tuesday of this week, the Tigers finished sixth in a field of 17 teams, 14 of which were southeastern schools. Senior Sharla Cloutier was Princeton's top individual, carding a 9-over for the 36-hole tournament, four shots off the lead.
This weekend's tournament is a three-day, 54-hole event held at the Traditions Golf Club, which measures 5,007 yards and is a par-72 from the women's tees.
Play will begin at 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday and at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
The Tigers will be tested by a strong field to include Arizona State, USC, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Denver, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Iowa State, Kansas State, UTEP, Missouri and Tulsa.
The Texas A&M tournament is the second of five spring tournaments for the Orange and Black before heading into the Ivy League championship meet in late April.
