Princeton Women's Golf Leads Midway Through Georgetown Invite

LEESBURG, Va. -- Annika Welander is one of four Tigers in the top 10 halfway through the Georgetown Invitational at Raspberry Falls Golf Club in Leesburg, Va., as the Princeton women's golf team leads the event with 18 holes to play Monday.
The Tigers are 12-over as a team through 18 holes, nine shots ahead of Yale at +21. Georgetown, Columbia, Nova Southeastern, Lehigh, Boston College, Penn, Brown, St. John's, Siena, Sacred Heart and Cleveland State round out the field.
Welander, who won two fall tournaments, shot a 1-over 73 to stand one shot ahead of Lehigh's Yvonne Kukora. Princeton's Sharla Cloutier and Marlowe Boukis are right behind at 3-over with first-round 75s, while Susannah Aboff is tied for 10th with a first-round 77 at 5-over.
The tournament is the final one for the Tigers before the Ivy League Championship, held April 21-22.
