Women's Tennis Wins Third Straight Match, Defeats Columbia 7-0

Princeton dominated Columbia in singles in a 7-0 women's tennis victory over the Lions Friday afternoon in New York, winning two matches without losing a game and another losing just one game.
Both Ivana King, at No. 1, and Sarah Huah, at No. 5, earned 6-0, 6-0 victories over their Coumbia opponents. At No. 6 singles, Joanna Roth lost just one game in the first set in her win over Alison Cordell.
Both Melissa Saiontz, at No. 2, and Blakely Ashley, at No. 4, earned 6-2, 6-2 victories, while Darcy Robertson won the first set 6-0 over Carling Donovan in a straight-set win.
Princeton had earlier won a tightly-contested doubles point when Ashley and King won in a tieberak at No. 2, defeaing Nina Suda and Lauren Shearer 8-6 in the tiebreak. Roth and Kristen Scott had earlier defeated Cordell and Anna Varnay 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.
The Tigers (12-7, 4-2 Ivy) conclude their season Sunday afternoon against Cornell at the Lenz Tennis Center. The match will be the final home match for the three Princeton seniors, Robertson and Roth as well as classmate Laura Trimble.
